JIM SZEMAN – Strategic Advisor
Jim brings insight from both sides of the table. Since 1999, he has proven his skills as CEO of The Oshawa Hospital Foundation. In 2008 he was nominated for Canada’s Outstanding CEO of the Year, following an award in 2005 as Durham’s Man of Distinction.
Throughout his career Jim has raised close to $100 million and innovated breakthrough campaigns. He has directed and implemented the full gamut of fundraising initiatives, all with high levels of creativity and success. His expertise has been sought-after for years, including speaking engagements in the US and abroad. Jim also volunteers for many organizations including the Canadian Mental Health Association, Durham Family YMCA Advisory Council and the Arthritis Society.
